If I were vs If I was

Okay, sebab aku ni taktau nak fikir English apa yg aku nak pahamkan kat diri sendiri and also dgn korang gak (plus sebab pemalas sangat) so macamnilah ... em Adli aku pinjam knowledge kau bg tu ke sini ye hehehehe :D Macehhh APA BEZA 'IF I WERE' DGN 'IF I WAS'

If I were and If I was maksudnya sama aje = Kalau. So apa yang beza dgn dua benda alah ni?
Mengikut apa yang Adli pahamkan,

•  If I were is for something that's impossible to happen
• If I was pulak is for something that's possible to happen

For example

• If I were

Pernah tau tak lagu If I were a boy by Beyonce? Pernah tak terfikir kenapa lirik lagi dia "If I were a boy" instead of "If I was a boy"? Sebabnya adalah, Beyonce tu perempuan dan mustahil untuk dia jadi lelaki (em mungkin tak mustahil kalau dia nk bedah ke apa tp tu lain cerita) Okay. Paham kan? Simple je.

Lagi, contoh kalau kita dengar masal kawan kita, lepastu kita nak bagi pendapat. Boleh guna macamni:-

Friend: I'm so upset with my little sister.

Me: If I were you I will kick her ass. 

Em contoh yg negatif tapi boleh paham lagi kan? Dia guna "If I were" sebab dia tak boleh jadi kawan dia. Paham tak paham tak? Hehehehe.

• If I was 

Okay  yang ni lagi simple. Sebab yang ni guna untuk yg possible to happen. Contohnya :-

If I was a scientist one day, I will find a cure for cancer.

Senang kan? Sebab dia dah bermatlamat nak jadi scientist, so kalau dia jadi scientist one day (which is not possible) she'll find a cure for cancer.
